Psychoeducational Assessments
Vaughan Psychologists offer comprehensive psychological assessments of children and adolescents to help identify cognitive and learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral challenges, as well as social/interpersonal issues. Psychoeducational assessments are recommended when parents and/or schools suspect a child may be experiencing difficulties in achievement, may have learning challenges or
ADHD, may be gifted, or may be experiencing social emotional issues that may interfere with school or family functioning.
Assessment provides parents with important information about their child’s cognitive and intellectual functioning, which helps parents and teachers find ways to support their child’s learning. All children learn differently; psychoeducational assessments help identify strengths and talents that may be less obvious in a traditional school setting, as well as areas of learning that may be more challenging.
